At Redeemer, we recognize that students today face schedules just as busy (sometimes more busy!) than their parents. At the same time, we are committed to providing our youth with opportunities to grow spiritually through the school year and during the summer. Our youth ministry is built on three central activities: fellowship, discipleship, and service. Here’s how these play out in our congregation:
DISCIPLESHIP–Our primary youth discipleship during the school year happens in our Sunday morning spiritual formation classes. We balance thematic studies of topics relating to life and faith along with straightforward Bible studies. Previous topics have included spiritual disciplines and the book of Romans.
SERVICE–Our youth seek to impact our community through service. We connect with local organizations like the Dutton Food Pantry and Renucci Hospitality House, as well as serving the communities of Caledonia and Dutton through special projects. No special skill sets required–just a desire to make a difference! Schedules are available from the church office. Parents are encouraged to come serve alongside their students!
FELLOWSHIP–We also make regular time for fun and relaxation through movie nights, holiday parties, and other fun fellowship activities. We also enjoy special retreats and overnights, as well as unique outreach events.
During the summer months we engage these three priorities through our weekly S.W.A.T. (Servants With a Testimony) program. For more information, please contact the church office.
